Seriously. Help meeeee.
As previously mentioned, I read a lot of books last year, but most of them were not published in 2014. As of right now, I only have three things on my “NOMINATE THIS” list.
- Kaleidoscope: Diverse YA Science Fiction and Fantasy Stories, eds. Alisa Krasnostein and Julia Rios, because good grief that was a good anthology.
- Goblin Emperor, by Katherine Addison, because it’s now one of my favourite books of all time.
- The Birthday Unending, written (curated?) by Seanan McGuire, because it started as a joke and turned into a celebration of life and love despite lost. And also there is a kraken. (I know this makes no sense. You kinda had to watch it unfold. I’m nominating ANYWAYS. Some posts collected here if you want to go down the rabbit hole.)
I have a month and a bit to do reading before nominations close. What should I make sure not to miss?
